University of Central Oklahoma sees growth in MBA program
University of Central Oklahoma’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program reported an increase in student enrollment for the current semester.
The fall 2009 MBA class grew from 62 to 109 students with 97 in the general MBA program and 12 in the new accounting major.
“This program’s unique approach, which includes no prerequisites in the general program, team-taught classes, multiple completion timelines, and now the accounting major, makes a UCO MBA both attractive and accessible to professionals in the Oklahoma City metro,” said Susie Braun, director of MBA enrollment in UCO’s College of Business Administration.
Suzanne Clinton, associate professor of management, has been named assistant dean of the college and director of graduate studies. Clinton has taught in the College of Business Administration since 2006 after working 12 years at Cameron University.
The new accounting major for students consists of six MBA courses and three graduate-level accounting courses, and gives students the hours necessary to take the CPA exam.
Sarah Warren is coordinator of communication and public relations at the UCO College of Business Administration.
